Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Cape Verde Reach Semi-Finals of 2025 African Men’s Handball Championship in Abuja

Abuja, Nigeria – The 2025 African Men’s Handball Championship has reached an electrifying semi-final stage following a series of decisive quarter-final clashes at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. Powerhouses Egypt, Tunisia, and Algeria, alongside emerging force Cape Verde, have booked their spots in the last four, showcasing the ever-growing depth of handball talent on the African continent.

Tunisia, another perennial contender, cruised to a 37–24 victory over Guinea in a match that highlighted their experience and tactical prowess. The Eagles of Carthage are now aiming for their 11th continental final.
