Abuja Stadium Upgrade: NSC Targets N24bn Investment for Renovation

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced plans to upgrade Abuja’s main stadium with a proposed N24 billion investment aimed at modernising facilities and restoring the venue to national— and potentially continental—standards.

According to the NSC, the funding is intended to support a comprehensive refurbishment that will target playing surfaces, spectator seating, floodlighting, media and broadcast facilities, athlete warm-up and medical areas, and improved access for fans with disabilities.
