Stadium Engages Ticketing Firm to Improve Matchday Entry for Fans

Stadium management has appointed a specialist ticketing firm to streamline entry and reduce queues by helping fans scan tickets at gates, the organisers said on Tuesday.

The move — rolled out ahead of the busy match calendar — aims to speed up access, improve crowd flow and cut the build-up that has frustrated supporters at recent fixtures. Stadium officials said the outsourced team will work alongside existing gate staff to manage turnstiles, troubleshoot scanning errors and assist supporters with mobile and printed tickets.

“A dedicated ticket-scanning support team will shorten wait times and let fans get inside quickly and safely,” a stadium spokesperson said in a statement. The company contracted to provide the service will deploy trained staff at main entry points and stand ready to resolve common issues such as unreadable barcodes, app-loading delays and mismatched seat information.

According to the stadium, the partnership follows a review of match-day operations that identified ticket scanning as a recurring bottleneck. Organisers said the extra assistance will be trialled during several upcoming fixtures and adjusted based on real-time feedback from supporters and security teams.

The ticketing firm will also coordinate with stewards and emergency services to ensure clear access routes are maintained during peak arrival periods. Stadium management emphasised that the support staff are there to assist, not to replace existing gate personnel or tamper with official entry checks carried out by security.

Fan experience and data protection

Officials said fans should still have a valid ticket ready — either the mobile ticket on their device or a printed copy — and arrive with adequate time before kick-off. The statement also addressed data-handling concerns: organisers said the company will only access ticket information strictly necessary to resolve entry issues and will conform to applicable privacy rules.

“The role of the team is operational support: scanning, guiding and troubleshooting,” the stadium spokesperson added. “Any handling of personal information is limited and governed by our privacy policy.”

What supporters should know

  • Have your ticket ready (mobile or printed) and ensure your device is charged.

  • Approach the designated entry gates where scanning support staff are stationed.

  • If you experience a problem, remain calm and follow instructions from the support team or stewards.

Stadium management plans to review the trial after the initial fixtures and publish findings, including whether the measure will become a permanent part of match-day operations. Supporters with questions or concerns were invited to contact the stadium’s customer service channels ahead of match day.
