Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly opened discussions with French tactician Fernando Da Cruz as the South African giants continue their search for a long-term solution to their coaching situation.
According to reports in South Africa, the Soweto-based club has initiated talks with the experienced French coach about a possible role at Naturena. The move comes as Amakhosi look to rebuild and return to competitiveness in the South African Premier Division following a period of inconsistent results.
Da Cruz is not unfamiliar with the club, having previously worked within the Chiefs’ technical structure. His experience across Europe and Africa has reportedly made him an attractive option for the club’s management as they seek stability and a clear football philosophy.
However, negotiations are believed to be ongoing, with discussions including the composition of the technical team and the possibility of the Frenchman bringing members of his own coaching staff. These details are expected to be finalised before any official announcement is made.
Chiefs are eager to strengthen their technical department as they aim to improve performances and challenge for major honours again. Supporters will now be watching closely as talks progress to see whether Da Cruz will be the man tasked with guiding the club into a new era.
